Design and development of modified high efficient high gain DC-DC converter for SPV standalone systems

<p class="MDPI17abstract"><span lang="EN-US">A conventional DC-DC converter is not viable for power conditioning in standalone solar photovoltaic applications. Switching losses are the primary reason poor performance of converters. To mitigate issues converters, a high efficient gain (HEHG) designed and developed this research work. Modified HEHG utilizes passive components switched capacitors, coupled inductor, resistor capacitor (RC) snubber circuit minimizing switching improving overall conversion efficiency (SPV) system. In addition, modified <br /> D-sweep maximum point tracking (MPPT) algorithm in-corporate into system to improve SPV using MATLAB/Simulink environment hard-ware prototype. As part validation, real-time testing carried out compares with traditional converter. The theoretical 96.01%, 95.62%. Found that practical values parameters closely tallying.</span></p>
